How do you apply for a job at BNZ?

BNZ advertises its vacancies on the NAB group careers portal, linked from bnz.co.nz/about-us/careers, and you apply online with a CV after creating a login. On 18 October 2026 the portal listed 15 open BNZ roles, 10 of them in Auckland.

  1. Search roles on the BNZ jobs portal (it is shared with BNZ's parent, NAB).
  2. Log in and upload a CV. The form asks for your name, email, phone and, for New Zealand applicants, a home address. Pronoun and ethnicity questions are optional.
  3. Former BNZ staff answer a few extra questions (for example a former staff number).
  4. A member of BNZ's Talent Mobility team reviews each application. You can't hold two active applications for the same role, but you can reapply after an unsuccessful application.

Does BNZ have a graduate programme or internships?

BNZ's careers pages list early-career opportunities in Business Banking, Agribusiness, Markets and Technology, but don't publish programme dates or eligibility on bnz.co.nz. Individual graduate intakes are advertised on graduate job boards such as Prosple, and usually open months before a February start, so check those listings for current dates.

BNZ also offers summer internships for Māori and Pasifika university students through its partnership with TupuToa. You apply through TupuToa, not BNZ.
